Take BitComet official page for example. Suppose you want to download BitComet from version 1.10 to 1.14. Right-click and copy the two versions' download URLs. And we know they are respectively _1.10_setup.exe and _1.14_setup.exe.

Many torrent downloads are stuck at 99% because the seeder has left. BitComet tries to improve the performance by using the unique Long-Term Seeding Technology. This technology can find more seeds to help finish your downloads.
When BitComet is downloading video files, it will automatically try to download the header and the tail of the file as soon as possible. So it is possible to preview the video during downloading process.
Also a specific folder (3) can be linked to a tag. In this case, assigning such a tag to a task will bring up a dialog asking the user if s/he wishes to move the task files, to the specified folder, in case the task has already been started previously. If the tag is added upon task creation, then the specific folder of the tag will be automatically set as the download folder for that task.
BitComet is a complete download manager that handles BitTorrent/ HTTP/ FTP protocols quickly, dynamically, and easily. As such, it offers high download speeds, but what it does have over other similar applications is its secure use.
Perhaps the most popular feature of this app is the ability to prioritize segments of your downloads. You can set which segments get downloaded first so you can view them quicker, allowing you quick access to your downloads before they are complete.
Sharing torrents and downloading them with this utility is safe. You can share your torrent files within the P2P network called the Torrent Exchange. You can also pay for the VIP subscription and download files anonymously.
Bitcomet follows the steps of utorrent in download speed, and I think it exceeds it in speed of execution, since that is the goal of its creators. A good alternative option, although I consider that u...
Hi Folks, Firstly, I'm New. I have encountered a problem with my download folder. I changed this from my SSD drive as it's only 256 Gb and contains my running software for the computer. so it fills up quickly and I have to delete stuff quite a bit. So I moved to another Fixed drive in my computer. I copied all the seeds I had into the new directory but they don't show up in my upload download screen. Is there something I need to do to get them back up so I can seed them again? Jazzbutcher1
bitcomet offers the option to move your files for you, but since you moved them outside of bitcomet you'll need to enter the new download location and re-hash check the files. and assuming you'd done that correctly it will revert to 100% complete.
Due to hundreds of files at around 90%-99.9% completion, my internal drive is almost full (40GB left). I have an external drive and so I would like to move all my downloaded files from Bitcomet to it. However The "Files move to" option is greyed out for me. Can you tell me what this means?
BitComet is a fast and easy-to-use BitTorrent/HTTP/FTP download client. It is P2P file-sharing freeware and one of the most popular P2P protocols designed for high-speed distribution. BitComet supports simultaneous downloads, DHT networks (trackerless), a download queue, selected downloads in the Torrent package, fast-resume, disk caching, speed limits, auto port mapping, proxies, and IP filtering.
Taking a slightly different approach to solving the multimedia lover's dilemma of how best to download torrents is BitComet, which uses an interface heavily cribbed from Windows Explorer--with a dose or two from the basic BitTorrent template--to create something instantly recognizable to the user.
There's a familiar tree of features on the left, including links to torrent-aggregating Web sites and several promotional offers. The top of the app has big buttons with familiar icons, the center window shows the files being downloaded, and the bottom pane has tracker and peer info. The pane on the right rounds out the layout, with a torrent search feature and advertising. Among the usual features, BitComet offers chat capabilities, the ability to bookmark your favorite sites, a toolbar for Internet Explorer 7, and a context menu for Firefox 2.
BitComet is a p2p file-sharing freeware fully compatible with Bittorrent, which is one of the most popular p2p protocol designed for high-speed distribution of 100MB or GB sized files. BitComet is a powerful, clean, fast, and easy-to-use bittorrent client. It supports simultaneous downloads, download queue, selected downloads in torrent package, fast-resume, chatting, disk cache, speed limits, port mapping, proxy, ip-filter, etc.
qBittorrent is a reliable open-source BitTorrent client with no ads. Like BitComet, it offers RSS support, download scheduling, and excellent support for magnet links, a distributed hash table (DHT), peer exchange protocol (PEX), and private torrents.
For an alternative BitTorrent client that offers this functionality, we need to look a little outside of the box. Shareaza is a program that amalgamates several popular peer-to-peer networks into a single application. You can download from BitTorrent, eDonkey2000, Gnutella, and Gnutella networks.
uTorrent (µTorrent) is one of the best-known BitTorrent clients, starting as a free BitTorrent program before morphing into multiple versions, including premium, paid options. The basic version, uTorrent Web, is available for free download, but it uses an online, ad-supported web-based interface.
Instead, the uTorrent Classic client is a closer alternative to BitComet. You can download an ad-supported version free, pay $4.95/year for ad-free service, or $19.95/year for a version with built-in virus scanning and filetype conversion. A final option bundles in CyberGhost VPN at a total cost of $69.95 if you want to completely obscure your browsing and downloading habits from your internet service provider.
uTorrent Classic offers virtually all the features of BitComet in a simpler cut-down interface. All versions, even the ad-supported basic installation, support RSS feeds, scheduling, and playback of media while it is being downloaded. uTorrent Classic can also be remotely controlled using the web-based uTorrent Remote or the uTorrent Android client, making it a good replacement for BitComet.
Deluge has a built-in web UI, meaning it can be controlled remotely through a web browser. Some third-party apps have been created that use this web UI to allow you to remotely control Deluge, too. Browser plugins have been developed for Chrome and Firefox so you can download and manage your torrents within your browser.
FrostWire includes promotions and sponsored offers by default, but these can be disabled in the Options menu, leaving the interface cleaner than BitComet and many of the options on our list. We recommend it mainly to people who are most interested in downloading videos and music with BitTorrent and who like the idea of managing their media library in the same piece of software.
Free Download Manager has browser extensions for Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, and Mozilla Firefox, as well as several other lesser-used browsers. These allow you to control your downloads from within your web browser. You can even connect to Free Download Manager running on another machine, using it as a remote.
And thanks to their web interfaces, you can use these newer BitTorrent clients on a high-performance seedbox to get the fastest upload and download speeds imaginable while keeping your torrent ratios high.
BitComet's main features include an embedded Internet Explorer window to let users search for torrents. Along with the features typical of contemporary BitTorrent clients, it supports UPnP gateway configuration, bandwidth scheduling, Webseeding, selecting only certain files for download inside a torrent package, NAT traversal (removed in v.1.03),[7] Peer Exchange (in older versions, using a proprietary protocol and starting with v.1.19 also by using the Extension Protocol, implementing a PEX mechanism compatible with μTorrent / Mainline PEX),[8] Initial-Seeding (Super-Seeding) and support for Magnet Links. 2ff7e9595c
